About Me

Dr. Connie Sanchez, ND

Dr. Connie Sanchez is a naturopathic physician with over two decades of clinical experience helping patients navigate complex and chronic health conditions through a root-cause, systems-based approach.

She graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (formerly the National College of Naturopathic Medicine) in Portland, Oregon in 2001 with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, after completing her undergraduate degree in Biology in Denver, Colorado in 1996.

Dr. Sanchez grew up in Denver, where she began her first private practice while also teaching college-level courses in health and nutrition. From the beginning of her career, she has embodied the naturopathic principle of Doctor as Teacher, believing that education is a powerful and essential tool for healing. She works collaboratively with her patients, helping them understand why their bodies are struggling and how targeted, sustainable changes can restore resilience and function.

Her clinical focus has evolved alongside both emerging research and decades of patient care. Today, Dr. Sanchez specializes in cellular and metabolic health, recognizing that energy production, detoxification, inflammation, hormone balance, bone integrity, and digestive function all begin at the cellular level.

Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:

  • Digestive and microbiome disorders

  • Cellular detoxification and mitochondrial dysfunction

  • Metabolic disorders including diabetes and insulin resistance

  • Autoimmune conditions

  • Thyroid and adrenal health

  • Hormone imbalance across the lifespan

  • Osteoporosis, bone health, and fitness optimization

  • Stress physiology and nervous system regulation

  • Medically directed fasting and whole-food, plant-forward nutrition

Dr. Sanchez is particularly passionate about helping patients who feel “stuck” despite doing many of the right things — individuals with chronic symptoms, complex histories, or conditions that have not fully responded to conventional care. Her approach is thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in both clinical science and real-world practicality.

She is a current member of the Gastroenterology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (GastroANP), the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and Plantrician.
